Tobacco Cessation
Healthy Rice County is working to implement mechanisms that connect people who use tobacco with existing cessation services including quit lines, quitting websites, and face to face counseling.
Current Initiatives Include:
- Creating an active referral system of patients to tobacco cessation services
- Working with post-secondary schools and worksites to create tobacco-free policies
- Promotion of effective cessation services available at low or no cost
